The location is great - almost in heart of the city, near to Placio Real and nigth clubs as well. You'll have no time for bore :) Given the price they offer it is great value of money.

It's very very simple, in my room there haven't been even a power outlet

Room big and comfortably furnished ...bathroom clean...location perfect for transportation...after checkout they have the service of keeping luggage for some hours in a special room till time of travelling
No air condition ....but weather was not so hot at time of my stay

Accessibility to center of city and metro.
The layout of each room meant that opening a window exposed you to hearing and seeing what went on in other rooms. Drawing curtains did not give you fresh air. I suggest scrim curtains as well to allow the air in but protect privacy at the same time.

Ideal location. The receptionist in the evening who had recently joined the job, spoke English. Other did not speak in English but were nice and helping. We stayed in a twin room on the 7th floor with shared bathroom. The room and bathroom were clean, however, the beds were old as was the hostel. On Saturday night, it was a bit noisy in the hostel (due to other guests) but next night we did not hear any noise.
The bed sheets were not changed on our arrival (in the evening) and we complained this and they changed.

The gentleman at the gate was very helpful when I arrived, the location is great, a few parks around, it was good
I missed a fridge what we as customers can use, and my neighbors were very loud almost all the nights. It was difficult to sleep there.

Very good location, the center of the city, 10 min walk to de Sol or Real Palace.

We lived in a single room, very cheap for central Madrid and single use. Hostel is clean, has a sink, a large wardrobe, bedside table and desk. Coffee machines sold at 2-3 times cheaper than in the city (50 euro cents). It accepts credit cards!
Staff does not speak English, there is no kitchen and no hot water to make your own tea, coffee, soup. You can only order a continental breakfast for 1-2 euros

The toilletes smell very bad. there is only one shower shared for 12 rooms. this shower is dirty and disgusting...and so the bathroom. the beds are extremely uncomfortable. place is very noise and not safe. we felt so unsafe there and went away to another hostel.

The hostel was not busy at the time I visited and I ended up staying by myself in a 2 person room. I paid very little compared to the prices for 1 night in a single room in other hostels in Madrid and it was definitely a good choice. The location was convenient too, just few metres from Plaza de Espana metro station.
I couldn´t find it. None of the buildings in the entire street doesn´t say Hostal Arti II. The locals I asked for help know it as University Residence which it in fact is

Spacious rooms, very pleasant stay. Top floor (7) recommended, as it has a fabulous balcony, with a very beautiful view of Plaza de la Espanha
No kitchen facilities. I believe this is the only, crucial, missing part for this to be one of the best hostals in Madrid.
