Very good location and nice staff. The room is small but that's not the problem at all due to convenience. It's more than worth what you pay!

The room floor should be a bit more cleaner (for persons who don't wear shoes inside the room)

The staff didn't know English very well so it was hard to ask them anything. When I called for directions on our way to the Hostel the staff member spoke no English. Also, our room was on the first floor and our window had no lock. We asked at the front desk about it but they didn't understand us. So we felt less secure in our room with our window unlocked.

I liked that it was affordable for a single room. And I didn't see anyone else using the shared bathroom, so it felt like I had to to myself.

Ugh, there was unfortunately a lot not to like. There is no air conditioning, which is fine except there aren't even any fans, and it was unbearable to be in the room, especially at night. The walls are really thin and you can hear pretty much anyone doing anything. I heard snoring, screaming, and the door bell ringing a million times during the night. Someone was also chain smoking, which I thought wasn't allowed, which made me congested. My friend was staying on the floor below me and she paid extra for a "private bath," but actually got the exact same room I got with a shared bath down the hall.

Noisy smelly and small also no difference between private room shared bath and private room private bath except 8 euros. Ugh!

Good location, right opposite placa de espana and the price was right

Well nothing as such... But it is a general problem in Madrid that nobody is willing to answer in any language other than spanish

Very cheap! Paid 16 euros for my own room in Plaza de Espana. That is unheard of!! Shared bathrooms were very clean. And the place has a washer/dryer. A complete load for 3.5 euros. It usually costs more than 8 euros anywhere else. It's also a quiet hostal, no partying at all

You get quite a lot for the price of the room, comfortable bed, a sink for yourself, enough furniture and space for luggage

The towel, walls and bathroom weren't very clean

Neighbors were playing loud music until 2 AM and restarted from 8 AM. Toilet was clogged and smelled very bad. Price was too high for such basic accommodation (dormitory).

Excellent location. The hostel is mostly suitable for lone travellers [such as myself], not too bothered about facilities, especially if they're just "passing by". I just had to find a place to sleep for one night, until other friends came into town, so I didn't really mind about facilities. The rooms are big enough to fit a bed, a sink, a desk and a chair and built-in closet/wardrobe. It also seemed to be very clean and it gives you an overall sense of basic accommodation, but fair price and a what-you-see-is-what-you-get unpretentious deal. The 2 guys at the reception were very nice and one spoke pretty good English.

There's not much to dislike in a hostel for which you pay 18 Eur/night, but if you're interested in the little details, then staff manners shouldn't really depend on the price [or the facilities] of a room. The reception staff was nice, but the cleaning lady was a bit rude. Also, depending on the room, you might get one with a metallic window sill...so if it rains, you're in for a noisy night. Lastly, you have to be careful, there's no sign marking the location of the hostel, it's just a door like any other entrance, with an almost invisible plaque/sticker next to the intercom stating that there's actually a hostel in that building.

Its location at the heart of the town marvelled me. Yet the price was affordable.

The general practice of using white bedshit was not observed. I prefer sleeping on white leanens.

The location at the centrum in Madrid next till the Metro and ATM is great.

The room was very basic, with lots of noise and you have to share the toilet and bathroom with students.

Center town on foot. Friendly guests (university students). I easylly borowed a hairdryer...24h desc attention in grate.

Mobles are bad quality and old. Some WC door just does'nt close. Small shower place. The expected bath was in afct smaller than some showers, and have got no stopper.
